The Bug Out Bag

A quick and comprehensive overview of ONE type of Bug-Out Bag. This video is specifically aimed at the entry to mid-level survivalist and is therefore neither definitive nor exhaustive. No doubt, your specific setup perhaps will and SHOULD differ, as each individual's training, experience, and preference is varied and unique.Reasonably speaking, this load out seems a bit too ambitious -- for me, at least. 70lbs, max -- maybe. As much as possible, distribute the rations between all the individuals of the family. Another way to approach this problem set is to exclusively carry freeze-dried Mountain House packets (7-year expiration dates) and stay close to a water source (to reconstitute the food). This will significantly reduce the weight; there are probably a few more ways to 'skin this cat.' --GM
Neosporin and Bacitracin- some people are allergic so it causes worse problems. Happened to me- bad to worse situation. In a bug-out event, my lower arm would have needed amputation.
Find out in advance so you can stock something else like silver-impregnated bandages and colloidal silver to take orally. Have lots of bandages so you can change often
It's called the 'Blackhawk Medical Roll.' A fine piece of gear that can keep things organized and compartmentalized! Bridage Quartermasters or U.S. Cavalry should carry it. Good luck!

GOLD SILVER INVESTMENTS ARE SOUND KEYS TO SAVING YOUR WEALTH!
Just get one of the nice Adidas pack - medium sized is plenty - 45 bucks. I don't think you want to look like the guy to get mugged with a fancy/military pack - the pack will easily hold poncho/liner, 1 gallon water, 3 3.6k calorie bars, esbit stove, camp cup, Katydan water filter, crank radio/light, trauma/meds kit, camp kit, small machete I don't think you need a fish scale in a shtf situation, or scissors if you already have 3 knives. Maybe it's just me but why do all B.O.B.'s have sewing kits..oh no did you lose a button?...fishing line is better than thread anyway. Get rid of the fishing net its useless. Why bring a slingshot if your not proficient with it, get rid of that and bring more gun ammo. Why don't you get rid of that tobacco and add something you didn't have like oh i don't know ...FOOD!
Each one of my packs (I have Four) Weigh about 125 lbs. I also have lighter ones about 40 lbs. Design them for what ever situation may arise where you are and be prepared for anything. Nuke Pack, Gas Pack, Hyperinflation Pack, Martial Law Pack etc etc etc. Or just do as I did in this video, make one pack and throw out whatever you need less in the time of emergency Value living, The will to live, Mental strength, stubbornness when faced with situations that when the mind and body are soft seem impossible but when a survival situation is presented before you and you value living you take the extra step to ensure survival.

How to Become a Survivalist

Learn to face an extreme situation with self-reliance.several gallons of water & canned goods can be pretty heavy. A knife is good but no need to conceal it.machetes arent meant to be sharp as a bayonet or a survival knife. besides the machete is much bigger than another blade. My plan is to open a water purification plant. If you bring me 2 gallons of unusable water, I will return 1 drinkable gallon to you. And no I won't accept gold as a payment.fail on the rubbing sticks together, you have to do it a certain way like the bow or hand drill methods, just rubbing sticks together doesn't create enough heat to start a fire.

Survivalist Mental Conditioning

Survivalist should take time to condition themselves to better prepare for a disaster.more physical conditioning is in order to stop the huffing and puffing while just walking.Only real way to get mental stamina is through fear, only way to get fear is through uncontrolled exposure, the rest is just folly.Survival takes time and effort. I will be the first to admit that I need more of both
Goodluck when bullets are whip cracking or lost in the wild where most will stand godsmacked, shit your knockers or wander around to your grave. One should take the time to expose themselves to adverse conditions in a controlled environment. This will help with the mental and physical conditioning. So that when a disaster does happen, you may better prepared.Look at what's going to happen to all the people who scoff and smirk, they dont have 3 days worth of goods and they expect to take on the world with their $10 walmart kiddie fishing kit.

If it goes really bad, the early mortality rate/starvation rate will be extremely high, more than half are going to die due to starvation, disease, and stupidity.

Survivalist Mentality

I'm more of a contemporary survivalist. I am prepared for a nuclear holocaust hell I could survive a zombie apocalypse. I am mostly just prepared for my own self-sustainability.survivalists and that is a definition in Brittan it called bushcraft I like the British version. You are describing living off the land and that is what we did we did in70380 things for fun it was work but it is a lot of fun too we were a real healthy family. Air-conditioning and cable is what is fueling obesity when you have no ac you eat less and get out and do things like bike hunt fish play street ball Frisbee go metal detecting all active things that occupy and get you away from the snacks.Maybe "Provivalist" is a better term. The things you are talking about are proactive, rather than reactive and far less paranoid. I was raised in a household that always kept a full pantry and mom was ready to throw a meal on the table for all who showed up at the door. Raised by Depression-era parents who experienced rationing - you live stocked up and nothing is wasted. Great that you make these skills part of your lifestyle, passing knowledge to your kids and hopefully, your wife as well. you can learn and have fun at the same time. I think that's the best way to remember important things for when you're in a survival situation too.The majority of "Survivalist" which I consider my self as one too, is reactive instead of proactive. Meaning not enough are envolved in positive politics or government work. As a Marine, Combat Vet, current Arabic Student at DLI... I'm trying to stay on the wall. I'm working towards Counter Terrorism .
